Amardeep Kahlon is the CEO of Designs for Health, the leading practitioner recommended Nutraceutical and Supplements business in the US, Canada and International markets. Prior to being appointed to CEO, Amardeep held the position of Chief Commercial Officer for the DFH business, driving record high levels of sales throughout 2023.
Prior to joining DFH, Amardeep was General Manager for Reckitt Nutrition in the US. Reckitt’s US Nutrition business includes Mead Johnson Nutrition and the Enfa Brand which is the #1 Pediatric Nutrition Brand worldwide. Amardeep also had responsibility for the Reckitt VMS business, Hospital and Specialty portfolios, including building Reckitt’s Adult Nutrition portfolio. Within his role, Amardeep led all aspects of Consumer, Medical, Digital, Media, Innovation and CRM.
Amardeep has extensive global commercial experience, prior to joining Reckitt in June 2020 he was at GSK Consumer Healthcare where he served as their VP & Chief Marketing Officer for the US. He had responsibility for leading various category defining Consumer Health brands including Sensodyne Toothpaste, Advil, Tums, Nicorette, Centrum, Emergen-C and Flonase. Over his career he has lived and worked in various countries in a variety of Marketing, Sales and Business Development roles.
Amardeep has a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from Cardiff University in Wales, UK. He also earned a postgraduate diploma for Pharmacy from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain and an advanced post graduate diploma for Business and Marketing from the University of West London.
Jonathan Lizotte’s entrepreneurial spirit led to the founding of Designs for Health in 1989. Throughout the years, he has guided and directed the company to ensure that its mission and vision are realized. With over 30 years in the integrative medicine and nutritional supplement industry, Jonathan is an expert in the business of the therapeutic use of natural products. Under Jonathan’s leadership, DFH has become one of the fastest growing, most respected manufacturers and distributors of nutritional supplements. Jonathan credits his business success to one simple philosophy, “Do what you said you would do, when you said you would do it.” This dedication to quality and passion for the industry, along with the DFH team who share these values, is why DFH customers have remained loyal to the brand over many years.
Phil joined Designs for Health in 2006, after a rewarding career in the construction industry, where over the course of 28 years he built two companies into very successful enterprises. As Vice Chair of DFH, Phil’s experience in building organizations and coordinating their resources has been a major asset in the development of DFH from a company with only one distribution center, into an organization with four distribution centers and two manufacturing facilities.
Dr. Brady has over 30 years of experience as an integrative practitioner and over 25 years in health sciences academia. He is a licensed naturopathic medical physician in Connecticut and Vermont, is board certified in functional medicine and clinical nutrition, a fellow of the American College of Nutrition, and completed his initial clinical training as a doctor of chiropractic. Dr. Brady has been the chief medical officer of DFH since 2003 and has been a guiding presence in product formulation and design, clinical education and support, quality control oversight and strategic partnerships for the company. He also is a founder and serves as the chief medical officer for Diagnostic Solutions Labs, and is the former long-term vice president of the Division of Health Sciences and director of the Human Nutrition Institute at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, where he continues to serve as professor emeritus of nutrition. He has appeared on the plenary speaking panel of some of the largest and most prestigious conferences in the field including; IFM, ACAM, A4M, ACN, IHS, AANP, AIHM and many more. He is in clinical practice at Whole Body Medicine in Fairfield, CT, specializing in functional, nutritional and naturopathic medicine.
Mike Lambert joined Designs for Health as Chief Financial Officer in 2022. In this role, he directs the organization's strategic planning, financial analysis and modeling, treasury and tax management, accounting, internal controls, and financial reporting. Mike brings over 30 years of finance and accounting experience to Designs for Health, including 15 years of financial leadership in high-growth life science businesses. Prior to joining DFH, Mike led the financial organization for Deerland Probiotics and Enzymes, a specialty manufacturer of science-backed supplement solutions using probiotic, prebiotic, and enzyme technology.
Terie Olson joined Designs for Health in 2023 as the Senior Vice President of Professional Sales. In her current role, Terie is responsible for leading the commercial organization to include sales, sales operations, customer experience and distribution. She is a dynamic leader who has a proven track record of cultivating and executing national and regional sales strategies to improve outcomes and achieve organizational goals. Terie has over 20 years of health care sales and leadership experience with a focus on strategic planning, talent development, organizational design, project management, and training. Prior to joining Designs for Health, Terie led sales teams at Cardinal Health, Starkey, and Inogen.
Joe Cadle joined Designs for Health as VP of Marketing at the beginning of 2023. In his role, Joe leads all of US marketing for Designs for Health’s brands and products. Joe is passionate about building high performance marketing teams that provide practitioners and patients with the information they need to make informed decisions regarding their healthcare. Joe has been particularly enthused about the recent launches of Designs for Health Spotlight and Women’s Health supplements given their propensity to help millions of people manage their health. Joe has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare marketing and strategy. Most of Joe’s career was at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare where he managed many OTC brands. Joe also led product strategy and customer strategy for Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. Joe earned his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University.
Tom Bertolino joined Designs For Health as Chief Information Officer in 2021. In this role, Tom leads the global master IT strategic plan and provides executive leadership for internal and external IT resources. Before joining Designs For Health, Tom worked 16 years at Anheuser-Busch in various logistics/IT roles and was elected to ABI's multi-year Leadership Development Program. For the last 8 years, he successfully led a software product development team at Cass Information Systems. Tom attended St. Louis University where he received a BS in Finance and an MBA with an emphasis in Management Information Systems.
Rachael Pileggi joined Designs for Health in 2018 as an attorney for the company and leader in the Legal department. In her current role, Rachael is a strategic HR business partner and leader of the HR function, she also oversees the implementation, management, and effectiveness of the company's compliance programs. Before joining Designs for Health, Rachael worked as an advertising/marketing, FDA regulatory, and general commercial attorney for Fortune 500 and Russel 2000 public companies.
After several years serving as outside counsel to Designs for Health, Steve joined the company as its General Counsel in 2012. Prior to joining DFH, Steve was engaged in private practice in Connecticut for over 20 years. During this time, he focused on corporate and transactional matters for small and medium-sized businesses, including M & A, debt and venture capital financing, and commercial real estate. As DFH’s General Counsel, Steve’s focus is on protecting the DFH brand and supporting the company’s rapid growth. Steve’s aggressive litigation strategy in state and federal courts, has resulted in permanent injunctions and six-figure settlements against unauthorized online resellers of DFH products, helping to clear unauthorized sellers from Amazon. Steve also leads a team of attorneys and regulatory specialists that partner with the company’s business leaders to identify and navigate regulatory and other risks that are inherent in rapidly growing companies like DFH.
Ryan Meloche has been involved in the natural healthcare industry since 2001, where he started his career as a Homeopathic Practitioner. After 5 rewarding years of practice, he carried on his passion for natural medicine with a shift in focus to the nutraceutical industry. Over the last 17 years, Ryan has held progressive positions in sales, marketing and operations, with his most recent 10 years in leadership roles helping guide teams and organizations to effectively service clinician needs. Ryan has developed a deep understanding and respect for the practitioner community and has gained a comprehensive know-how of what is involved in the successful building of brands and businesses in the professional marketplace. In his current role, Ryan leads the Canadian division of Designs for Health, and is responsible for managing strategic partner relations throughout the United States and Canada.
Ed Allardice joined Designs for Health in 2019 and has over 10 years of experience across the health food, vitamins and dietary supplement industry. Ed started in a practitioner facing sales role with Blackmore’s, Australia’s largest professional supplement company. Ed has held numerous commercial and management roles across the industry, spanning predominately over the Australian and North American market. In this role as Managing Director, Australia, Ed leads the overall strategy and execution across all aspects of the business with the growing team.
Peter Barraket has more than 20 years’ experience across the health food, vitamins and dietary supplements industry. He has worked for a number of Australia's leading brands and companies in this sector, in senior roles covering Finance, Sales and Business development. In 2018 he joined Designs for Health as Managing Director of Australia. He successfully launched the brand into the Australasian marketplace and has led and built a successful business that has become the fastest growing Practitioner vitamins and dietary supplements brand in the region. He has recently assumed responsibility for our International division and is charged with growing our business outside our core markets.
